IN OUR LIVES

The big news this month is with Dean’s upcoming court hearing.  Please pray especially in  October , when the hearing is scheduled to take place.

Last month we wrote about the dental bill generated by Stephen and Caryl. We are pleased but not surprised that God has supplied a majority of the money already. Praise God! Thank you so much for your prayers and support.

It is apparent that God does not want us to sell our house in Phillipsburg. We have talked to a couple trusted realtors and gotten opinions and prayer from friends and family. Seems the doors are all closed on the sale idea. So now we are focusing on making the house work for us more.  To do this we are using two approaches, save money and receive more income. We are doing this by trying to refinancing the mortgage and cleaning out our personal items in the garage so we can rent out that space as well. If anyone is interested in garage rental in the Phillipsburg area, please contact us.

On a similar note, the Township of Phillipsburg requires a biyearly inspection of all rental properties. We had ours last month and the house failed on a number of safety and housekeeping items. Most are of a minor nature, like smoke detectors or tree trimming. Some are major like sheetrock work, electrical, and floor repair. So if anyone is interested in helping us get some of this work done, please contact us for a more detailed list. Please pray that God sends Stephen help with this area he is not strong in.

Again, we ask our supporters to consider becoming prayer partners. Contact us so we can put you on our list. Likewise continue to pray for us along with opportunities to speak at conferences and churches.

At CMTS

The building project has taken a huge turn for the better in the last month. September started out with a CMTS board meeting where a plan of attack was discussed and voted on. Since then we have had a land survey completed.  God allowed the funds to come in for the remainder of the supplies. We also have a concrete contractor to help us with foundation work. Please continue to pray for the building project, that God sends the people we need for the dirt work, building erection, plumbing, electrical, paving, and interior building work. Also pray about the supplies still needed, concrete pipe for drainage, heating, electrical, plumbing, asphalt, lumber, hardware, doors, windows, and other items we haven’t even thought of.

Please pray as we continue to get all kinds of stuff together for the Belize trip. This January’s trip is coming together, but many items need to be sourced or checked over still. There are many options available to go with CMTS to Belize.  The basic drive down trip starts Friday, January 15th, 2016 at CMTS Bernville.  The team driving to Belize spends a few days at the Texas/Mexico border working with local ministries and churches. After arriving in Belize, the team will help out for a couple days before returning to the US, around January 29th.

The cost for the basic trip is $1500. Almost any term of stay can be arranged from January 15th to March 18th when CMTS staff returns to PA. For people not interested in driving down, flying can be arranged. The trip is appropriate for individuals, couples, families, and groups. We send teams down in February. For more information call the CMTS office or feel free to ask us. Keep in mind different options may cost differently, so contact us for quotes. CDL drivers and regular drivers are still needed. In the past scholarships have been available; contact us about availability if money is a problem.Belize

August News

In Our Lives

The hearing for Dean’s visitation case was in late August. His visitations have not been changed as far as frequency and duration are concerned. Please continue to pray for this situation and that these visits might be less stressful on Dean. Also please pray for the Orphans Court hearing in October.IMG_6026
Ryleigh started school in late August. She is now in 8th grade! She is enrolled again at Kings Academy in Shoemakersville, PA. Please pray that her grades are as good as last year and that she adapts well socially. Teen years can be hard at any school.
Would you consider signing up as a prayer partner? We know that there is an army of people praying for us, but we don’t know who they all are, except for the few who have encouraged us by saying so. So as a mission we are asking everyone who prays for us to let us know. If you are not currently praying for CMTS or us as a family, we ask for your consideration in praying. We would like to complete a list of supporters who are regularly praying to display in a spot at the ministry.  This is a way of encouragement to all staff, volunteers, donators, program recipients, and passers through of what God is doing here.  It’s also a reminder to you. You can send us your commitment through e-mail: [email protected], phone/text: (908) 283-6917, or mail: 311 Focht Rd., Bernville, PA, 19506. If you would like to make a commitment to pray but want to be kept anonymous, you can just send us your initials and where you are from.
On September 12th is our annual deep fry party. Every one of you is invited. It’s always a great time. Please RSVP to Caryl at (908) 283-6917 and tell her what you will be bringing to try and share.

A Need

In the last year both Stephen and Caryl have had dental work done. Stephen’s was major and Caryl’s was minor. But together the bill was nearly $6,000. Please pray that God will send the appropriate resources to pay off this bill. Thank you.IMG_6282

At CMTS
The building project is moving along. Please pray for wisdom and for God to send the needed resources and labor to get everything done. We are trying to get the CMTS Board together to vote on some issues like what contractor to use for the foundation and some of our specific needs, e.g. concrete, excavating, contractors for specialized parts of the project, and money to buy the supplies.
We already have about half of this year’s Belize trip caravan here and being worked on — a step van, 4 tractor trailers, a cement truck, and a dump truck. In addition, a school bus will be sent down early by ship. Please pray for wisdom, resources, and drivers for the trip.
Thank you all for being part of our team serving here at CMTS.

The Open House Picnic is almost here! Open House will be Saturday July 18th from 11-4pm. We are hoping as many of you as possible come out to see first hand what we are doing for the Kingdom! There will be free lunch, games, rides, bounce houses, and more! Bring out the whole family! I would like to make a request. At CMTS

Last month was extremely busy at the ministry. The summer rush is in full swing and daily cars and vans are going out with missionaries. Currently about 50 of these fleet vehicles are out. Please pray for safe travel for all those missionaries.

The CMTS handbook , titled Principles and Practices, has been completed. Soon it will be handed out to all the staff. A man named Jim Wycliff is helping Andy and Stephen to develop documents like that. Other health safety, community, and spiritual documents are being created that will help streamline CMTS operations. Jim was the now retired founder and director of Children’s Bible Fellowship or CBF from New York. CBF was founded to help underprivileged children, handicapped people and there families from NYC. Jims years of running a large Christian non profit are really helping us develop better strategies and programs.

The building project is going well. Quite a bit of the dirt work on the warehouse part is completed. Please continue to pray that God will send the needed volunteers, supplies, and money to complete this project.

In Our lives

Last month we took a few days off and went to Niagara Falls for a family vacation. The trip was a lot of fun and was a great experience for everyone. It was amazing to see how incredible the falls where.

Deans court case is July 10th. Please continue to pray that this time this date sticks and Gods will is done. The miracle to pray for is that the judge makes a decision from the bench.
IMG_5807

It looks as if our house in NJ may still need to belong to us. The housing market in that part of NJ has not rebounded enough to make a sale possible…but God is good! A man from our church is interested in a investment property and our house might be what he is looking for. Please pray for wisdom that we will treat the situation with care and have patience.

Please also continue to pray as we actively seek opportunities to speak at more churches and missions rally’s. One of our supporting churches has offered to help get us speaking opportunities. So please pray for that connections as we try to tell the churches in our area about all that God is doing through us at CMTS Ministries.

May News

IMG_4404At CMTS
Stephen’s first month as assistant director has gone really well. One of his first jobs was to help Andy and the board of directors create a CMTS handbook. The handbook will help outline all of  the expectations, rules, and consequences at the ministry. Please pray that all the staff will respond positively to it.    Last month a gentleman named Larry came out to the mission and worked on the building project for more than a week. Larry is a professional builder who spent his entire career building ministry centers all over the world for Wycliff. In a ten-day period he was able to accomplish more on this project than we have seen done in the last six years. We are very thankful for his help. We are anxiously awaiting more help so we can get this project behind us. We already have more volunteers lined up. Please pray for more people.
Our annual open house is coming up in July. We are in need of volunteers to come out and help prepare for that day and help run events. This year we are planning on having a car show again. It went really well last year and everyone had a lot of fun. We would love to see you all come out and enjoy the day with us. IMG_4281

In case you haven’t heard, Dean’s court hearing on the 28th was postponed. The new date is July 10th. In the meantime Dean has to continue with visitations. Please continue to pray for the situation. On June 6th we will be going as a family to Niagara Falls, N.Y. Pray for a good time and safe travels. Ryleigh will be done with school June 5th and is looking forward to summer vacation!
Please continue to pray for opportunities to speak at churches, VBS, and events. Last year we spoke at a church VBS event and it went really well.
Thank you for all your continued prayer and support. We are so thankful God has put you in our lives.

APRIL

At CMTS

This month we have some excellent news. The ministry board has been for years trying to figure out how to get organized to the next step. Andy has excellent vision to start all kinds of great ministry opportunity’s but lacks the support staff to see them follow through. This last Belize trip really caused some of those weaknesses to be evaluated by many people. Stephen recognized that this needs to be addressed and wrote Andy a letter to help define some of the issues and give positive ideas on how to help solve them. After Andy read Stephen’s letter and talked to the Board of directors, they decided to ask Stephen to become more

IMG_4043involved in a larger part at CMTS. So as of the end of April Stephen was voted the Assistant Director at CMTS. This is a huge adjustment for everyone, and Stephen is trying to help Lead CMTS with Love and Patience. Please pray that the transition is Smooth for everyone involved and that God uses this to accomplish his will. Also this Month We have gotten permission to get started on the dirt work on the building sites. Praise God! We are all very excited. Besides his new role in leadership, Stephen has been very busy servicing equipment and getting the areas to be worked on ready. This next month will be very exciting with volunteers already lined up to help get things done. Please continue to pray for the project to get done.

Caryl’s new position as kitchen coordinator is going fantastic. Everyone is really enjoying her home cooked meals. Please continue to pray for Walter the current cook who is on leave helping his family in Virgina. Also pray that more people will come out to CMTS to help with all the projects we have going on.

  In Our lives

A lot of the CMTS news this month are directly linked to us so this section is short. The big news is   that Deans court Hearing for wether he remains with us, or becomes reunited with his Mom, happens this month. So as the hearing approaches, May 29th please pray for Deans Mom, the state social workers, the attorneys, the judge, us and of course Dean. Whatever Gods will is we want to be ready for the next steps. We were told it would take a miracle for this court hearing to have a immediate decision. If we do not get a decision right away it could be even longer of a waiting period. So lets pray for God to do a miracle!IMG_4039
Ryleigh is doing well. She got straight A’s this marking period. We are so proud of her. She also went to her first christian youth rally! As we try to decide what to do with our house in NJ please continue to pray for Gods guidance on if we should sell or continue to rent it out.Last month Stephen Had the opportunity to speak at a men’s retreat in Northern PA. Two churches from the Reading area borrowed one of our 15 passenger vans and a large Tent for the event they held in Potter Co. The churches invited Stephen and Buzz from CMTS to come along and share the Ministry with them. It was a fun time and a excellent opportunity to share the ministry with about 100men. Please pray for more opportunities to speak.

Thank you for all your prayers and support!

MARCH

At CMTS

Thank you to all our supporters–we have great news this month. Both townships are happy with our progress on the building project. So we have permission to start on the final stages of the earthwork. We are still a little hesitant to get excited, but it seems like it’s a sure thing this time.  Stephen has been asked to help with the project by being sure the property and equipment are ready for work. Nick VanWert has replaced Stephen as the CMTS auto shop manager. Over the last month Stephen has been phasing out of the shop and helping Nick get used to his new post.  Sometime in early May a group of professional builders and machine operators are supposed to evaluate the job site and equipment and then make a plan to get the ball rolling. Stephen has his work cut out for him prepping everything. Please pray for all the steps involved and the people to help get it done.

Caryl has a new position at the ministry. When we got Dean she was forced to step back quite a bit to take care of his needs. Now that Dean is a bit older Caryl has the ability to get involved more. She is now in charge of the staff lunch program. Every weekday the staff all stop work at noon for worship, devotions and lunch. Caryl now works on ordering needed food items, getting cooks to come in and prepare, organizing the pantry and freezers, clean up, weekly menu, etc. Our past cook, Walter, was forced to take a leave of absence to help with family matters. When Walter returns Andy wants to have him use more of his skills as an electrician. He will still cook a couple times a week, but will not be in charge of all the kitchen like he was.

11037285_10152959944534492_1579377257865210615_n

Speaking of Walter, please pray for him. His dad died of a nasty, aggressive cancer last week and he is struggling with that. His dad became a Christian in the last month, but as a new believer Walter is still struggling with the heartache. After the family matters are settled we are excited about him being back on staff here.

The ministry as a whole is going through some amazing changes and we are asking for prayer. God is really moving things here and we can’t wait to share all that stuff in the next few months. Please pray for Andy, Nancy, the Board of Directors and all the staff in this time of transition.

In Our Lives

Nothing new is going on with Dean’s Case. Please continue to pray for him while Caryl needs to take him to visitations. He struggles through them and is in a bad mood for a couple days after.

Ryleigh is now an official teenager! Time flies! She is doing very well in school but is looking forward to summer.

That opportunity I spoke of in the last newsletter, to speak to missions committee members, is this month. Thank you for all your prayers for the ability to speak more. We are praying that during this time the word will get out about CMTS. Please pray that through this meeting we will be invited to more churches to speak. Thank you for your prayers.

December

At CMTSIMG_1585

December ended up being a lot milder than expected, which was a huge blessing for getting stuff done for Belize. We now have all 4 tractor trailers with containers. Two are filled and two more need to be finished. Besides the road tractors there are two school buses and a step van going this year. The caravan is leaving on January 20th. Please pray as we try to get all the trucks looked over and serviced. Also pray for safety on the trip for all the staff and volunteers going this year.

This year there is a mini Belize trip going earlier. A school bus and two Ford Rangers will be driven to a port in Florida and put on a cargo ship. The reason for this is to get certain items to Belize that the Mexican government does not want shipped through its country. The three vehicles are filled with tires, paint, food, clothes, woodworking machines, and other items that Mexico will not allow. The trade off for this method of shipping is a higher price to get the vehicles there.

Thank you for all your prayers for the guys in the shop. Since last month attendance has been much higher and the guys’ mental, spiritual, and emotional health has been great. Please continue to pray for all the staff here.

One of the staff members had a bad screening at the doctor a few months ago. She went in for a routine check up and signs of cancer were detected. So after a few more tests it was determined that it was cancer and it was not good! A few weeks ago she and her huband went to the doctor to discuss her options. At the consultation the surgeon could not find the cancer!! It was gone, completely! She told the surgeon that everyone had been praying about the situation. The surgeon did not claim to be a believer but was not surprised; he had seen situations like this before. Praise God for this amazing miracle. What a amazing testimony to the surgeon, staff at the office, staff at CMTS and everyone reading this update.

In Our Lives

Christmas went very well this year. We were able to visit a lot of family and iUnknown-4t was a very nice time. As a family we are not much into traditions but have a couple we hold on to. One of them is to read the Christmas story out of usually Luke before any presents are opened. That is to help keep the celebration in proper perspective. Hard to get wrapped up in consumerism when your mind is on the birth, life, death and resurrection of Christ.

Thank you for all your prayers regarding our support and promotion of the ministry. God has definitely brought about situations that have inspired us to get serious about this. Every church in the Lehigh Valley, New Jersey and beyond need to know about CMTS and the valuable services God accomplishes here through all of us. Some doors have already opened for us — please pray for more.

Dean’s court hearing about his mom’s involvement in his life was supposed to be this month on the 15th.  The hearing unfortunately has been postponed another 6 months. During this time visitations will continue.  Please pray for wisdom, patience, and guidance as we have to wait 6 more months for a decision.

Joyfully,

November

GetAttachment-2.aspxAt CMTS
With the weather turning, November was pretty busy getting outside stuff done. We now have two school buses and two shipping containers done or nearly done for the Belize trip. Stephen is still working on the dump truck mentioned last month. The progress is slow only because he is so busy keeping the other shop members going on their projects. As shop manager Stephen spends a lot of time on that as well as helping all the departments with mechanical needs.
The shipping container for Douglas Youboah went excellent. The Boys Brigade group that came out worked really hard from 8am to 9:30pm. Douglas was able to send more than expected and all really nice stuff.
The building project is still in limbo due to the township and bank quarreling over funds. Recent meetings with both townships have proven positive. Please continue to pray for the situation.
Some of the staff members are older gentlemen who have bad pasts and the baggage going along with that. Recently some of them have been struggling with depression due to their pasts and family struggles. Please pray for them and for the leadership here to help them through these tough times.

In Our Lives
We are still praying about our house in NJ. God has not yet made evident any clear paths about what to do. Please pray for God’s direction.
A huge prayer request for us is our financial resources. With Ryleigh starting private Christian school it has taken an already tough situation and made it a little tougher. We just need prayer that God supplies more resources. The only thing that would be better than more financial support is if God opened up doors in other areas so we could save money. For example, our house costs us about the same as Ryleigh’s school tuition each month. So if there was a way to sell our house or refinance that would take us back to where we were over the summer.
Thanksgiving outreach went excellent. We fed 32+ families and gave Third Street Alliance 14 turkeys. God is good. For more info on that ministry, you can visit the church website, http://cornerstonechurches.org.
Thank you to all our friends, family, and church family that support us in every way! We could not be here serving without your faithfulness. God has called us to this special vision at CMTS and we thank you for having the same vision: God’s glorification and the spread of the gospel.

Joyfully,
The Nemecs

October

At CMTS

October really ramped up for the Belize trip. A work group of teens from a youth group in the Palmerton, PA area came out early in the month to help. They did a lot of odd jobs but also helped prep items and pack two of the containers going to Belize. This trip is looking to be a fairly large caravan. At the moment we have two tractor trailers, three school buses and a medium-duty dump truck going. The dump truck is being converted from a small V-8 diesel to a larger, more reliable inline six-turbo diesel. CMTS already has a very large tri-axle dump in Belize, but it’s so massive, to haul a couple yards of product is ridiculous. Stephen has been very busy getting all the stuff together to fix all the trucks going and working with the staff and volunteers working on the trucks.

If anyone has household items that they would like to donate for the trip, please contact us. We are looking for dishes, pots, pans, cups, silverware, etc. We can’t send any wooden furniture. Belize has an extensive lumber industry that customs protects by not easily allowing outside wood and wood items into the country. Please pray for wisdom in getting all this stuff together and checked out. Also pray that God provides drivers to get the stuff shipped down.

Dr. Douglas Youboah is a pastor from Ghana who uses CMTS resources on a regular basis. In the past he has sent many shipping containers there for the ministry he helped to start, African Hope. In November he has a container he is packing to send more supplies to Ghana. Car parts are very hard to source there, so he is sending a lot of car parts and drive lines to use for the ministry and sell. By sending extra car parts he can use the profit to pay for the shipping cost of the container and the duty on the needed items. Other missionaries have done this before and in some cases have paid for everything and ended up with some profit. So besides the fleet cars and Belize trip, Stephen has been spending a lot of time helping Douglas get the parts containers ready for shipment.

The building project is still moving slowly. Andy and the board members are still trying to get all the negotiation done between the bank and township. Please pray for God’s help and direction with the township.

In Our Lives

Ryleigh is doing very well in school. She will be starting basketball soon. Please pray for her as she adjusts from homeschooling back to a classroom.

Caryl has started again taking Dean to visits wi

th his mother every other week. Other than that nothing new has developed with his case. Please continue to pray for his mother and all the case workers who work with him.The state and Salvation Army workers have asked us if we are going to continue with the fostering after Dean is adopted. That is a good question, and it’s something that we have been praying about. At the moment with the size house we have, the money we receive every month, and the size of the car we drive daily, it would be impractical. But with that said, if God wants us to continue as foster parents, all the resources will come flooding in when they are needed. Please pray for God to give us clear direction and the resources to help more children, if it’s His will. And peace if it’s not His will.

Please pray for us to get more opportunities to speak at different churches. CMTS needs exposure in the local area. We as a family need the exposure as well. God is doing amazing stuff through us and CMTS as a whole. We want everyone in the area to know what we do.

Joyfully,

The Nemecs
